Providence Kids Culinary Camp
Our unique day camps are offered for kids (ages 8-12). Registration includes daily lunch and afternoon snack, as well as a keepsake apron and reusable snack tote.
The first half of the day, campers will be immersed in a myriad of cooking activities, led by our world-class College of Culinary Arts faculty. Activities include culinary applications and demonstrations empowering our campers to craft regionally and globally inspired dishes.
The afternoon session will expose the campers to food facts, activities and fun. We will offer opportunities to learn about where food comes from, how it works as well as an introduction into the sweet world of pastry. We will spend time exploring topics tailored to kids of all ages in a highly interactive and participatory curriculum while providing plenty of time for socialization and creativity.
Our recipe for Kids Camp includes the following ingredients: Communication, Teamwork, Critical Thinking, Decision Making and FUN! By the end of the week, campers will have developed the ingredients for success that take them well beyond the kitchen.
NOTE: For safety purposes, flat rubber-soled shoes such as sneakers are required (open shoes, sandals and flip flops are not allowed in the kitchen). Due to safety issues, students must wear closed toe shoes and long pants for the day.
