Providence Teen Culinary Camp

Our unique day camps are offered for teens (ages 13-16). Registration includes daily lunch and afternoon snack, as well as a keepsake apron and reusable snack tote.

The first half of the day, campers will be immersed in a myriad of cooking activities, led by our world class College of Culinary Arts faculty. Activities include culinary and baking/pastry applications and demonstrations empowering our campers to craft regionally and globally inspired dishes.

During the second half of the day, campers will shift gears and focus on baking/pastry applications, providing some sweet treats to take home to share with family. All led by our faculty in our International Baking & Pastry Institute.

Our recipe for Teen Camps includes the following ingredients: Communication, Teamwork, Critical Thinking, Decision Making and FUN! By the end of the week, campers will have developed the ingredients for success that take them well beyond the kitchen.

NOTE: For safety purposes, flat rubber-soled shoes such as sneakers are required (open shoes, sandals and flip flops are not allowed in the kitchen). Due to safety issues, students must wear closed toe shoes and long pants for the day.

*All payments made and due for summer camps are nonrefundable unless you give JWU at least thirty (30) days’ notice of the cancellation in writing.  JWU reserves the right to cancel any summer camp, in whole or in part, based on health or safety issues (including but not limited to those related to COVID-19) or based on the guidelines, requirements, or restrictions of the applicable Department of Health or any other state or federal government agency.  JWU also reserves the right to cancel any summer camp, in whole or in part, based on insufficient enrollment.  In the case of cancellation by JWU, JWU will refund the monies paid for any portion of the cancelled summer camp on a pro-rated basis.
